Client & Business Challenges
The client, a prominent U.S. educational materials retailer operating in over 60 stores across 29 states, needed a mobile solution to replicate existing web functionalities. They aimed to enhance user experience, unify data across platforms, and achieve faster development cycles. With a homegrown web application already in place, their biggest hurdles included data inconsistencies between web and mobile channels, device compatibility across numerous iPhones, and the need to integrate secure payment options. Furthermore, they required analytics tools, robust deployment pipelines, and advanced security checks to align with user expectations and protect brand reputation in a competitive marketplace.

The Solution
Successive Digital leveraged React Native to create a cross-platform application, ensuring code reuse and consistent functionality on both iOS and Android. We fortified the solution with DevOps pipelines—using Jenkins, GitLab, and Microsoft App Center—to automate builds and testing. The new app not only mirrored key features from the client’s web store but improved user flows with optimized load times and advanced payment integrations (Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal). Through Adobe Analytics and FullStory, the client gained valuable insights into user behavior, enabling targeted marketing and retargeting strategies. Added CRM and CMS integrations bolstered campaign management and personalization, while rigorous penetration testing ensured the app’s security posture.
